At Happy Moms, we believe that developing strong professionals is an important part of strengthening the support available to moms and families. Our Fellowship Program provides an opportunity to connect professional learning with meaningful, hands-on experiences that support our mission of promoting maternal wellness, mental health, and family well-being.
Through our fellowship, we are intentional about creating opportunities for professional growth, skill development, collaboration, and practical application. Our current fellow is engaging in projects and clinical learning experiences that contribute to the work of Happy Moms while strengthening understanding of community needs, professional practice, and the many ways organizations can work together to support families.
We are pleased to highlight our current fellow,JaShelle Nixon, and her contributions to Happy Moms.
Through her fellowship experience, she is developing professional skills while supporting projects that strengthen our community connections, resources, programs, and direct client practice.
Her activities include researching grant and funding opportunities, contributing to the development of community resources, supporting outreach and engagement initiatives, and participating in interdisciplinary learning experiences. These projects provide opportunities to apply professional knowledge, strengthen communication and organizational skills, and better understand how collaborative efforts can improve access to resources and support for moms and families.
We value the opportunity to support her continued growth as she sharpens her clinical tools, expands her professional perinatal perspective, and contributes to the ongoing work of Happy Moms.
